This private church has been associated with it's local village for the past 300years. It was built around the end of the 12th century, and the beginning of the 13th century. It has a lovely Norman style font and a stone pulpit from around 1480.

Investigation Report
For this investigation, the team agreed to form a partnership with another paranormal investigating team called the Ghost Challengers (Click here to view their web site). The team were invited by the group to the location, after they had heard about their activities.
The team were met at the location at around 11pm by Richard (The Ghost Challengers founder and team leader), and after a quick cup of tea and chat, they were off to perform their baseline checks. Sandra and Gill performed this task, and as you would expect, found the structure to be considerably cold, and they also found that there were no unusual readings from the EMF.
The motion camera was placed facing the font to record any movement. Another motion camera was setup on the font pointing at a trigger object. The "Lock off" camera was situated in a room where there had been bones discovered once whilst the floor was being replaced. Another 2 motion sensors where placed by the main entrance of the church, and another trigger object was placed by the Alter along with a mirror (which would be used in an experiment later).
Once everything was in place, the team started the vigil. Richard started to call out for spirits to come forward, and straight away the team heard a light tapping noise coming from one of the benches. With this response, Richard called out again, and they were all very excited when again, there was a tapping noise in return. Richard then asked the spirit if it could trigger the motion sensor by the font, after a short period, the team were amazed to hear the sensor go off. Sandra had been filming in this area at the time, so there is a chance that she may have captured the sounds on film.
Throughout the course of the investigation, Pete had some technical difficulties with the motion video camera, as he was finding that they were getting a great deal of interference. At one stage whilst he was refocusing the camera, he said that he had seen something go passed in front of the font that he could only describe as "a fine net curtain". None of the team had been near the font at the time, but again there is a chance that Sandra's or Gill's camera may have captured something.
Most of the team then made their way outside into the churchyard and performed a seance. As they were asking for spirits to come forward again, three of the group saw a bright white light near to the gate. They checked to see if this was caused by a car, but there were no vehicles in the area. After another 10 minutes, they believed that they could see a white figure in the same location, but this was quickly dismissed as it was actually a shadow.
Whilst the group had been outside performing their seance, Gill and another member of the Ghost Challengers had remained in the church having a cup of tea. They were very surprised when one of the motion sensors went off near the font again. Upon hearing this, they went to investigate, but were unable to find or sense anything in the area.
Marlene decided to to visit the room where the bones had been discovered with the dowsing rods. She found that they started to cross over at a very slow pace.
Sue, Pete, Sandra and Gill performed a vigil outside when they all believed to have seen a black shadow through a gate that leads to the Manor house next door. Pete opened the gate and shone his torch around the driveway, but was unable to find the source of the shaddow.
The investigation was brought to a close at around 5am.
Conclusion
The team were very pleased to have been invited along by the Ghost Challengers and enjoyed conducting the investigation along side them. Although the Ghost Challengers had previously performed an investigation at the location before, they chose not to share any of their findings before the investigation, as they wanted the team to record their own findings.
There were so many responses from the motion sensors that the team are hoping to find some results of paranormal activity on the video camera's.
With regards to the "fine net curtain" that Pete believes he spotted, Marlene believes that this may have been a manifestation of a spirit. The only time that they have witnessed this in the past was at Woodchester Mansion.
The Ghost Challengers reported feeling a presence around them in the church, this was in the form of light breezes around their faces and some lights at the bottom of the churchyard.
All in all, the investigation was enjoyed by all involved and the team would like to thank Richard and his team for a good nights vigil. They are already looking forward to the next opportunity to work together.

The Re-Visit - June 2008
The team were invited back to the Church and took along two members of the Ghost Challengers with them. As before, they setup the a motion camera near the front, and also another in the Bell tower. The team had not investigated this part of the church on their previous visit, so thought that it would be interesting to see if they were able to detect anything new.
Another area that was visited this time around was the roof of the church, and they were all taken back by the view of Bristol especially at 11.30pm.
Sandra and Gill started their evening by performing their vigils in the church itself, whilst the rest of the party made their way upstairs. Marlene sat in the Bell tower while Sue went up to the roof. Pete sat in another room near the top and the other 2 went and sat on the spiral stair case.
In a short while Richard and Nick from the Ghost Challengers believed they heard a voice by the side of them and at the same time the motion sensor near the front was triggered. The team asked if the pair that were in the church had been near the area, but they had confirmed they had not.
After a short break the team held a seance up in the tower room. When Richard asked out into the room Marlene heard a voice by her ear, and the team noticed that the room temperature had dropped, making it very cold. With all of this action, the team started to ask how was with them in the room, but were getting no responses from the sceance.
The team took some photos around the church, and found that the motion sensor near the front had triggered again whilst they had been else where in the building.
There seemed to have been more activity on this visit than previously nad the team enjoyed the return, clearing up around 4.30am. On one of the photos taken by Sandra, there seemed to have been a mauve haze near the altar and in the next photo the haze seemed to have moved.
