Paranormal Activity Eyewitness Reports

Although the structure has been a public house in the area for many decades, there has never really been many reports of paranormal activity until recently.

The staff have noticed as well as had reports of a growing number of unexplained "happenings". Such things that have caused concern as crisps falling from the shelves, a report from a customer of a black shadow in the hallway and also lights being seen around a chair that sits in one of the corners.

Investigation Report

The location of the Star Public house is well known to all of the team as it is considered a local and has been in the village for such a long time, but from an investigation perspective, this was the first time that the team had been invited along to perform an investigation.

The team arrived at the location just before closing time, and had to wait for all customers to leave. Due to some of the customers being aware of what they were there for and finding it quite interesting, the team found that they could not begin until around 1am.

With the place now empty they got down to setting up some of the equipment around the building. They palced a Motion camera facing the chair that had lights reported around it, and a "lock Off" camera in the back bar.

Once everything was setup the team got started with the investigation. The decided that it would be a great idea to start with a seance in the main bar area, so the gathered around a table and linked fingers. Sandra started asking out for spirits to come forward and at first there seemed to be nothing, but after a little while, there was the sound of movement coming from above. Although there was 2 dogs in the area, it sounded more like human footsteps, and also the team then heard the dogs begin to bark at something which Sue (landlord) said was very unusual. Whilst all this was going on, the team also noticed that the temperature in the room had dropped regardless of the open coal fire that was burning.

To try and encourage the spirits forward, the team then performed another seance using a glass. The glass started to slightly move straight away. Marlene then had the sensation of two names coming forward, the first was a boy thought to be by the name of Thomas and also a girl called Molly.

Once they had completed this, the team decided to take a short break and watched the motion camera. Marlene asked out for Molly and the team noticed a slow white orb travel across the chair twice. Sue was amazed at seeing this as this was her first experience of anything slightly paranormal. Unfortunately, this activity was not recorded due to the camera being in the wrong angel so the team moved it and tried again. The second attempt did not provide anything.

The investigation team then went in to the back bar to perform another seance. Unfortunately they found that there was nothing coming forward. Sandra took the EMF reader into the hallway to see if she could pick up anything around the area where the black shadow had been seen and found that the reading was quite high around the middle. It is common that electrical equipment can affect the reader so they checked to confirm that it was a natural reading, and could not find any interference.

The team felt that they had covered all the area's of the pub that had interested them and decided to bring the investigation to a close at around 3.30.

Conclusion

Unfortunately due to the colds that are everywhere around this time of year, there was only 2 of the team able to perform the investigation, but none the less, they thoroughly enjoyed it. They were particularly excited with the EMF reading as it did suggest that there may be some sort of spirit or paranormal activity present in this area of the pub.

Unfortunately the camera did not catch the orbs that where seen by the chair in the corner, but after moving the camera, it picked up another 37 movements. Some of these where caused by the flash of the digital camera's, but the others are still to be investigated. Hopefully there will be more orbs captured.

The footsteps that where heard up stairs are still a mystery and this is very interesting as the dogs seemed to have reacted to something unfamiliar. The team decided that they would leave a trigger object over night (this was a coin placed on a small table), and when Marlene phoned Sue in the morning, she explained that the coin had moved. Sue also explained that when she went to wear her riding boots, she had noticed that the laces had been completely removed (could this have been Thomas and Molly playing tricks??).

With all the interesting things that where experienced the team felt that it was a good vigil and are grateful that Sue (Landlady) has invited the team back at a later date.

***We would like to thank Sue The Landlady and Staff of the Star for allowing the team to perform the investigation, and can't wait to revisit the public house again with the rest of the team.***
